ABSTRACT

Introduction : Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) is uncommon tumor. It can occured to the minor salivary gland in nasal cavity. Diagnosis is based on the clinical history, physical examination, histopathology examination, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT). Currently, surgery is the most effective treatment modality, followed by adjuvant radiotherapy. ACC have a high recurrence rate (5-30%) when surgical removal is incomplete. Case report : A 52-year-old male patient with diagnosis adenoid cystic carcinoma of right nasal cavity stage I (T1N0M0). We performed complete surgical resection of the tumor, will be continue with radiation. Conclusion : ACC was second mostly nasal cavity tumor. Reccurance rate are depend on many factor such as positive margin in surgery. Histopatology type of Adenoid Cystic Carsinoma and metastasis of the tumor gave effect to prognosis for the patient. artikel lengkap
