Abstract

Introduction:Inverted papilloma is a benign lesion occurring in nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Even though these tumor are classified as benign they are known to cause local destruction, known tend to recur and also can undergo malignant transformation to squamous cell carcinoma. Case Report: Reporting a case in a 62 year man with suspicious recurrent inverted papilloma that treated by maxillectomy. Pathological finding revealed squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion: In this case,has occurred malignancy transformation of inverted papilloma being squamous cell carcinoma, which possibility of this transformation varies from 1,7-7% of all cases. artikel lengkap
