Abstract

Introduction: Frontal sinus fracture is a common case, including of third largest cases that occur in maxillofacial trauma. The diagnosis of frontal sinus fracture based on anamnesis, clinical symptoms and radiological examination. Delayed treatment of frontal sinus fractures can make several complications and reduction difficulties in operative procedure. The main goal in the treatment of frontal sinus fractures are restore the upper face to normal, restore sinus function and also to prevent immediate or late complications. Case Report: Reported one case of frontal sinus fractures on 16 years old man, that had open reduction difficulties, then using silicon augmentation to manage aesthetics complication. Conclusion: If treatment is not carried out soon after the frontal sinus fracture, make it malunion, poor ossification, soft tissues shrink, contract and scarring, all of which makes difficulty in open reduction procedure. The use of silicone augmentation is one of the frontal sinus fracture treatment to get more better aesthetic. artikel lengkap
